Allied Health Professionals often referred to as AHP’s, provide treatment, support and rehabilitation for children to adults that are ill, have special needs requirements or disabilities. They work towards helping the individual to live their live as fully as possible. You will find AHP’s throughout the different health and care settings across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, these include: the community, people’s homes, school, hospices and within the hospitals. There are 14 AHP roles and these are: Art therapist, Chiropodist / Podiatrist, Dietitian, Drama therapist, Music Therapist, Occupational Therapist (OT), Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), Orthoptist, Osteopath, Paramedic, Physiotherapist (Physio), Radiographer (Diagnostic & Therapeutic), Orthotist / Prosthetist and Speech and Language Therapist. Through working through this module you will have an insight into these roles and more.
