Apprenticeships

There are a number of routes into a career in healthcare science and pharmacy, an apprenticeship is another option. If you want to become a healthcare science or pharmacy apprentice, you will have to find an employer who is offering an apprenticeship post.

Advantages of applying for an apprentice role are:

  • That you earn while you learn.
  • Course fees are paid by the employer
  • Annual leave entitlement the organisation offers
  • Experts and support from the organisation, your peers and education teams
  • Gain a qualification at the end of your course
  • A stepping stone on your career pathway

In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough there are a variety of apprenticeships you could apply for at different levels for example

Some apprenticeships can be applied for as an external applicant (new to the organisation) however there are apprenticeships are for internal applicants only (those who already work for the current employer) within the organisation.
