For any administrative role you will need a good standard of literacy and numeracy. Employers usually ask for GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths for a level 3 role. However in a level 2 role you have the opportunity with most employers in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to undertake GSCE English and Maths courses once employed.
IT skills and qualifications are useful too as so many systems in health and care are IT-based now. You’ll be using your skills in time management, organisation and communication in any admin role. It is important to check with the employer and on the application form for the entry requirements of the role you are applying for.
If you already hold a professional qualification, degree or masters there are other roles in administration services that can be applied for directly.
