Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

In Health and Care you will come into contact with the most vulnerable people, it is therefore essential in some roles that you have a DBS check**. This is where the employer checks your criminal record. In being successful in interview you will usually receive a conditional job offer, it is at this stage you will be asked to provide evidence for your DBS check. The recruitment team will advise you on the documentation you require for this process, they will usually include originals of:

  • Your birth certificate
  • Passport
  • Photographic Driving license
  • Bank Statement
  • Council tax bill


**Not all roles in Health and Care in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough require DBS checks.
